Oh my gosh so I found this at Goodwill, a thrift store, and I've seen similar metal doorstops that were very pricey and so I thought it might be from the same kind of genre as those others. So I've been searching online and I swear I've found this swan doortstop! It's for sale, in much worse condition, at an online antique store selling for $350 dollars! Lets just say I didn't pay $350 dollars! So my mom thinks it's a copy but I don't know...! What do you guys think? Can anyone tell me how I can verify if this thing is authentic or not? Here's the website where I found it for sale. Vintage Swan Here are some pictures of it from that website.
I just don't know! The one I have is definitely cast iron, it is the heaviest thing I've ever carried except for our own vintage cast iron pans....Help!!!

Hi Allison :)
Thank you so much for your sweet comments!!
I think it might be the real thing and they just spruced it up, but I'm not an expert. It's really cute though :)

Heavy is a good sign. Also look at the seams. I think the older ones had different seams than the newer ones. Google your question, and you'll find a list, no doubt! It's gorgeous, no matter what. Have a good week. Lucky find, I think.
Does Goodwill rock, or what?!
m ^..^
Thank you everyone! And yes I love Goodwill sooo much! lol
Oh, my gosh...I LOVE this! I have no idea if it is old or not but....who cares? It is just beautiful and I WANT ONE JUST LIKE IT. I am going thrifting soon and sure will look for something like this. I love the old door stops....
