Silver tea set and last day for giveaway!

At a garage sale a while back I got this brand new silver plated tea set for $45 dollars. I think that’s a good price… Anyone know? Either way I love it! I have always wanted one! This one came with a teapot, coffeepot, sugar, creamer, and tray. From the same lady I also got two shabby chic decorating books. Victoria’s At Home With White, and Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic. They have been a lot of fun to read! I highly recommend!

I love how everything has little feet in the set! It’s all so pretty :)  I just couldn’t pass it up I had to go to the grocery store down the street buy gum and get cash back to buy it LOL. The books were only $1 dollar each! Yay! Also everyone don’t forget that today is the last day to enter my giveaway HERE! I’ll announce the winner tomorrow! Hope your garage sales have been fruitful! All the best!

Yes, I think you got a deal, Allison! Good shopping! What does it say on the bottom of the tray? Who made it? Do you see a maker's mark of some kind? If so let me know what it is, and I'll see if I can tell you something about it. Look on the bottoms of the pieces themselves, too.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Love the set! I think if you are happy with what you paid then it is fine. You may have found it cheeper but it is a full set with tray and in great condition so I'd say less than $10 a piece and it matches was a bargin! Love the books! I regret getting rid of my Shabby Chic book (or at least I cannot find it!!) Good deals!
Hugs, Lisa

Great for YOU! That tea set is fabulous! I would definitely say you got a bargain. Is it solid silver or silver plated? Love the books too. I saw a Rachel Ashwell one at Goodwill recently but was too cheap to pay $4! Happy Pink Day and have a great weekend!

Allison....I knew you were looking for a silver tea service when you seen mine on my blog and now you found one! It is so pretty! As for price, I didn't pay that much because I bought my pieces separate and put it together but I have seen some realllllly expensive sets in antique stores, so I think you did great! I love the little "feet" on the bottom of them too! Also great deal on the books!!

Great set! I'd be curious what the marks are on the bottom(s), if any. I think you got a very good deal, but as my mom always says "it's only worth something if you like it." :-)
