I also want to share with you guys today some other neat things I have come across :)

new stuff 007

new stuff 009 Oh I love clearance LOL. I got these recently from Marshall’s and they are shabby and wonderful. I really like the square one because it’s different and I don’t have any frames like it!

new stuff 010

I’ve had this glass dome and stand from Marshall’s and I don’t know what to put in it. I am really at a loss LOL. Help!

new stuff 018

These neat metal basket things came from Michaels. They are pretty cute they are meant to look like old postcards. The pictures are of the front and back, respectively. I am in the same dilemma though I don’t really know what to put in them.

new stuff 020 They are thin openings only like an inch and a half wide and about 5 inches deep and maybe 7 inches long. I was thinking about using pretty “shred” in there and sticking out old ephemera, pictures, tags, or something like that. I would appreciate your ideas! All the best everyone :)

Hi Allison,
Love your clearance finds....I love the clearance sections too at TJMaxx and Marshalls! I have a pretty teacup under my dome and it looks very pretty! I have faux fruit under another one....possibilities are endless!

Great idea arranging ephemera in the container. You need a faux cupcake to put under glass. Jenn's Petal Palace sells some cute ones on lollishops. Make sure if you order something there is room for the top to fit over. Another idea, a sweet little baby shoe or a bundle of millinery flowers.

I love your buys. The glass dome is beautiful. I put a pretty bird nest with eggs and ribbon under it.
If your not into nest a pretty chic teacup with moss and a bird,Good luck

Allison, you have great taste! I also love that square frame you got - very unique (and all my favorite colors!)... Maybe you could put a little nesting bird in your glass dome? I just put a PIG, of all things, in mine! And the postcard pockets are so cute! I like the idea you had about ephemera and pretty shred... Or (here I go on the bird kick again), maybe some spanish moss and a bird or two?
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Alli,
I was just looking at one of those domes, but it was at a foofy store, and it was $45. I guess I need to go to Marshall's.
I would put the little fairy girl that I just made underneath, that is why I am looking for one.
I like to put little crowns or nests under the glass too.
Have a lovely week,
Rosemary

Wow, you got some really cute things. I love the dome and stand. How about some pretty shells and star fish for all this hot Summer weather we're having now. I think the shells would look cute under the cloche. The little postcard's darling too, I like your idea of the shred and vintage postcards, that would be very pretty. Thanks for your good wishes on our vacation/shopping this weekend, we're off early tomorrow morning. Talk to you next week ;)

Found you through your comment on bj's blog. You have a great blog going here. You say you wish you were older, don't wish that too fast. Appreciate where you are now. Besides you can learn lots now while you are young and use that great info to decorate your home later. About the cake dome. I don't have one yet. I so want one. I would put seasonal things under there. Bunnies for Easter would have been cute. Now maybe some spring theme things or summer things. You can change it out as the mood strikes you. Good luck with it. Take care.

Oh my, what great treasures you have.
The little tins in the last photo: Idea you have sounds good. You could also wrap some lace around cardboard covered with music or dictionary pages and let it poke out the top.
Tuck in any kind of little cream or white flowers between things, too.

Your cake display plate: Oh my, what can't you put in it? Baby shoes, postcards. spools of thread or lace, drape hankies, or doilies,
a frame with an old pic in it.
I could go on, but bet you already got a bunch of great ideas!

Oh, thanks for coming by and leaving a comment about my nest in frame.

Blessings,
Barbara Jean

Can you believe i did not suggest putting a nest under that dome?
Maybe you just knew that was a given with me. =0))

Blessings sweetie,
